Hunter Safety

Due to the nature of hunting with deadly weapons, safety always come first. Gun safety is first and foremost on the ranch, but your participation and cooperation is paramount to keep safety first. Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course, or be accompanied while hunting. Minimum age of certification is 9 years of age. For more information, please visit our Hunting Safety Page.

Preparing for a Successful Hunt

Hunting at Hunting Texas Hogs Ranch is an exciting experience, but you must make preparation to have a good hunt. Bring your own firearms (rentals available), ammunition, bows, arrow, bedrolls, towels, bags of corn, hunter orange hats and vests, and more. Everyone needs to bring their own flashlight or spotlight for the early morning and late night hunts in the dark. You must complete the Release of Liability before you arrive and bring it with you. All hunters must have their Texas Hunting license as well as the Texas Hunting Safety card if born after Sept 2, 1971. Please carefully review the FAQ page for the complete list
